ROLE:
Communications Manager
MCC MEMBER SINCE:
Originally the early 1990's, more recently for the past four years.
HOW DO YOU USUALLY GET INVOLVED IN MCC TRIALS?
Creaking joints now mean four wheels, but I've tried two, three wheels over the years. In all honesty, I enjoy the team working of making the events & the club successful these days.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TRIALS SECTION AND WHY?
Bamford Clough (RIP). I stumbled across the hill whilst trail riding back in the 80's, and most parts of my MG's diffs lie under that now tarmac surface.
WHAT MAKES THE MCC SPECIAL?
History & heritage. To be able to compete in the same challenges that several generations before have done is a fantastic testament to the social history of motoring. The events are hard by virtue of their length along with tiredness from the dark hours, but what a challenge & such exciting fun. It's less about the end result, more about the fun along the way. Long may they continue.
