A repairs team was out on Blue Hills 2, making good the section, which has suffered erosion. According to Phil Tucker, who has been involved in the repair, ‘The lower track has been graded / filled / compacted and the footpath has been repaired, now running almost continuously from top to bottom. The escape area has been widened. The concrete slab removed and kink modified. The lower part of the section has been graded and compacted along with the new kink. The part from the kink to the deviation has been widened filled graded and compacted. The drain gully at the deviation has been cleaned out and the dry stone walls around the deviation repaired.’

So you might have to rethink your line as you tackle the section this year
