I'm sure an outline or such would work just as well. Possibly get the MCC Badge digitally remade?
I think keeping this badge is not killing the club off. Changing it may certainly make old members leave.
We need to keep members as well as attract new ones. I'm also not sure that this badge will do either and may well kill off the MCC faster.
The MCC is like a big family with old historic values and stands for Quality and Tradition in an ever increasing Throw away & lets change everything for the sake of change society.
We have a club that has lasted 119 years. That's pretty good by any standards.
1. Modern youths are in the main not interested in going outside.
2. Lack of suitable affordable vehicles.
3. Modern environmental opinions.
4. Suburban sprawl.
5. Loss of countryside Green Lanes.
These are the five main things that are killing the sport of trials. and will continue to do so no matter what is done by the MCC.
This is Hard fact.
Plus now MSUK requiring all passengers to have a licence will delete membership even more. Why join the MCC for a passenger pass if you can now get one free from MSUK? This needs the clubs to fight MSUK over.
The Sport has always been low key by way of publicity.
The MCC and other clubs need to saturate the media with event coverage in motorcycling and motorsport magazines. If no one knows we are here we will not get new members.
New members need not be young.
It is good that opinions are being asked. However notice needs to be taken of those opinions. Not just deleted as has happened on the MCC Facebook page. We need to keep the members we have, this will not happen if we treat the membership in this way. A lot of good will, I fear, has already been lost by this move.
That's why most correspondence is being aired on the Classical Trials Facebook Page.
