Digital trip meter?
« on: May 27, 2019, 08:11:44 am »
Hi,
Was one of the three guys in Team Viking in Lands End. I must admit that an idea has started to grow, to participate next year.......
Does anyone use an electronic trip meter? With a display bigger than a standard small mountain bike unit? It shall have two meters, one for distance between junctions and one for the total.
I think I saw one in the night of LE. Or was it an iPhone?

To follow the instructions in the road book, left, right, straight on, that was ok. But to kept records of the distance when you are tired, was not easy. // Ulf Mossberg.

Hi Ulf,

Good to hear you're thinking about coming back. Remember that we also have the Edinburgh Trial in October and the Exeter Trial in January.

The Edinburgh Trial is the shortest and mostly run in Derbyshire and not near Edinburgh.

Here is an option for a replacement instrument: http://www.trailtechproducts.co.uk

Kind regards,

Ian.

Hey Ulff, good to hear from you again.

I was thinking the same as you. My bike measures in kilometres so pretty useless.

Have a look at this website.

I have to warn you they are expensive

There is quite a choice on eBay.

Search for rally trip meter, or rally computer.

Cheers
