Exeter...cant make it...who do I inform?

I need to be in Myanmar on Sunday, thought I could fly out on Saturday evening...however, as the flight is against the earth rotation I need to leave on Saturday morning.

Think this is the second Exeter I've missed in a row, last year it was chasing steam engines in China that kept me away. Saves me worrying about a Triple!

So, who do I need to inform that I will be DNS?

Thanks for your help.

Regards Arron

Hi Arron

I guess you don't actually need to let anyone know as such - as you say, you'll be marked down as DNS.

But the secretary of the trial is Dave Sapp and his phone number is on the top of page 5 of the (I have class O to hand) final instructions and route card, or tell Roger Ugalde who is the Clerk of the Course and his email address is also at the end of the route card; his phone number is in the front of "Triple" whereas Dave Sapp's isn't.

Either or both would appreciate knowing you're not starting.

Notifying the club gives them the opportunity to offer your place to another club member if the entries are over-subscribed.

The 2016 Edinburgh trial had 33 non-starters out of an entry of 227. Makes you wonder how many knew they would not start in time to notify the club.
