To get the image the correct way, I'd think you'd have to reload it.  Anyway, it's not bad as you think if you're used to grazing book shelves  :D .  Try reloading it as an image rather than an attachment.

Go to the forum at Welcome / Welcome to our Guests / Loading an Image into Your Post, or just click on this link http://www.themotorcyclingclub.org.uk/forum/index.php?topic=73.0 where all is explained.  Hopefully  :D .  Good luck.

Only got a Photobucket account at the moment... So that doesn't work...

Strange that, I have used Photobucket for other forums.....

Photobucket have very recently decided to charge circa 300 a year for folk to post their photos on forums....many existing photos have disappeared. However, if one wishes to pay their premium, then one can post one's pix wherever one likes....
Personally, I've upped-sticks and moved to Flickr.....  :)

I believe you may be the pioneer as far as this Forum is concerned, though Alastair might have some specific instructions.  If not, have a look at the guidance notes http://www.themotorcyclingclub.org.uk/forum/index.php?topic=73.0 and see if they assist.  I haven't got a Flickr account yet so can't give exact instructions.
