Welcome
« on: March 24, 2016, 05:09:33 pm »
Welcome to the MCC Forum.   A place where members can discus all the quirks that make people want to take part in the country's oldest sporting events.

This is a real names forum, so what ever you use to log in, please make sure  that the "Display Name" that you use is the same as the name that appears in event programmes.   Applications for membership of the forum are passed through the administrator first, and this process will verify your membership against the current club membership lists.    Marshals who help on our events are equally welcome, but you can help verify you position by dropping a e-mail to simon.woodall{at}themotorcyclingclub.org.uk to identify yourself.

Simon - There are some typos in the introduction, I didn't see "Display Name" (only "Username") when I registered, and I haven't received any registration-confirming email yet. Plus ... is there an option to "subscribe" to a specific thread or is this automatic when you've initiated a post or made a reply. Either way, this should be stated somewhere in the guidance.

Simon - I'll keep all my general comments here, for ease of viewing. I would prefer to see the Sales and Help in a consistent order, say ...

Bikes and Bits For Sale
Bikes and Bits Wanted
Cars and Bits For Sale
Cars and Bits Wanted

Bike Help
Car Help

Shall I change my username to PedanticKB?

Well done Simon!

As well as sections for each of the trials, how about one for General MCC Stuff affecting all events, and a technical tips section for, say, keeping your routecard dry, and a technical queries section for how to protect my beetle brake hoses, which are the best tyres, etc?

Cheers

Ian

Establishing this Forum is akin to cleaning Blue Hills 2 for the first time!

Congratulations to Simon and the team.

Paul Brooks. The site is not mobile specific on my phone. Are you seeing the same view as on a normal computer, only smaller, or something mobile-specific?
