Lands End Trial 2004

Mike Leeke (37) and Geoffrey Roberts (36) wait patiently before tackling Blue Hills 1 which they both cleaned, Mike going on to collect a Gold Medal for the event.

The Hockley Heathens Team - Melvin Poel (42), Richard Eaves (41), and Chris Poel (43) at the start of Blue Hills 1 which they were all about to clean.

After waiting patiently (see above), Geoffrey Roberts successfully negotiates Blue Hills 1 but a 'foot' on
Blue Hills 2 was to cost him an award.

Peter and Nicky Vaughan come to grief on the steep restart of Blue Hills 1. Unfortunately they didn't collect an Award but they did provide us with a great photograph.

Rod and Dean Clatworthy round the bottom bend of Blue Hills 1 in style but they were about to collect an 'RB' on the restart.

Ian Bovill just about manages to get around the bottom
bend of Blue Hills 1 in his ISOC Sports but was yet another competitor about to fail the restart.

Richard Hoskin and Martyn Stendall were running their Morgan F4 three-wheeler in Class 0 but elected to attempt Blue Hills 2 rather than Old Blue Hills.

Stephen and Linda Fuller on their Norton Wasp outfit also tackled Blue Hills 2 and their 'non-counting' stop didn't prevent them from winning a Class 0 Award.

Once again, Dave Haizelden shows everyone the way to do it, cleaning Blue Hills 1 on his way to (yet) another MCC Gold Medal and Class win.

Roger Bricknell gives an exemplary display of how to get away from the Blue Hills 1 restart but, unfortunately, Roger had already failed Hoskin so finished with a Silver.

After cleaning Blue Hills 1, Dave Haizelden storms up
Blue Hills 2.

But there were rather fewer spectators when Nigel Kendall in his Marlin climbed Blue Hills 2.
